To be honest with you, I’m scared shitless.
Why? Because the lights are on. The game is starting. Contentrific goes live today.
A few years ago, I embarked on a journey into entrepreneurship. (If you’re interested in the whole story, you can click here).
I stumbled, fell, cried, bled my way and lost all my money through a myriad of what it had to offer – the mini successes, and plenty of failure.
These were the toughest years in my life, I’m not going to beat around the bush about it.
But they were also the most memorable and useful.
Because of this thing called entrepreneurship, I learned how to code, how to sell, how to speak, and more importantly, how to persuade and add value to people.
But at the core, businesses don’t exist just to make you remember things.
The problems that make a content guy go into facepalm mode
Way before I even had the idea to create Contentrific, I was a content writer. Heck, I’ve been writing for 6 years now, considering it’s 2017.
The most common problems that make me wish there was a hole in the ground to dig into was when I see the following:
- Poor business writing
- Inability to translate thoughts onto paper
- Poor communication and lack of clarity
- A content gap between consumer and brand
Initial attempts to solve these problems
I initially thought that I would just do freelance work, and save mankind from absolute writing disaster, but although I’ve written for some of the world’s best professionals, there was just this nugget at the back of my head:
It’s just not fast enough.
That was when it hit me.
If I want to help as many people as I can, I need to build the most complete and well rounded content resource on the Web.
Are you struggling with content?
I feel your pain. I know it’s a struggle when you can’t express yourself.
You know exactly what you are thinking, but you just can’t find the right words to say to the next person.
This is a real problem, and it’s a problem that I intend to solve.
Some areas I need your help with
Right now, I’m working as hard as I can to come up with the different guides that I’ve outlined earlier, but it’s taking a super amount of time, as to be expected when it comes to content marketing.
I’m writing at a speed of 6,000 words per day, but even then, it’s not as fast as I’d like to feed the content beast.
To solve this problem, I’ve come up with a solution.
I know that the guides will be extremely effective (there’s a reason why I’ve invested weeks into developing it), but I also don’t want to post them immediately for sake of sacrificing quality.
Therefore, I’ve split them up into weekly courses that you can sign up for.
Each week, you will receive a chapter on a particular topic, which will assist you in your quest to become a content machine.
My solution to these problems
My team and I have deliberately split up Contentrific into the following parts. They all act together, however, to create a well rounded approach to better content for your business, or for your career.
Contentrific will have a ton of guides loaded with actionable steps, strategies and tips that cover every part of online content.
For starters, you can start signing up for these free guides right now, to be notified when new chapters are released:
- The Advanced Guide To LinkedIn Profile Writing
- The Advanced Guide To LinkedIn Publishing
- The Essential Data Based Guide to Creating a Content Marketing Machine in 2017
- The 7 Day Content Challenge
As the adage goes, you can’t solve a problem if you don’t know there is one.
For that reason, my team and I have dedicated a ton of time and resources into developing a series of interactive tools that help you to access the level of mastery that your content marketing knowledge is at.
My challenge to you is to take these tests seriously, for it can help you to uncover weaknesses and spots for your content efforts to improve on.
You can access our content tools here.
Every week, we will post one or more in depth topics about online content creation, content marketing, and content marketing analysis.
Each post will deep dive and super focus into these topics, and provide powerful strategies, tips and tricks about the actions that you can take immediately to see results from your content.
You can access the blog here.
My goals for you, and for Contentrific
Contentrific contains the information that I would have died to get access to, especially when I was just starting out with writing content, and content marketing.
It’s a collection of tips, strategies, and actionable steps to take with online content for building businesses.
With Contentrific, the goals that I have are really quite simple, but so darn hard to execute:
I want to build the following for you, my readers:
- The most comprehensive, complete, and outrageously good resource about online content there is
- The most transparent blog about everything an online entrepreneur could face when setting up his/her business, especially if you are in my niche
- The most helpful, valuable, and insanely great partner that you can ever get on the Internet when it comes to using content to build your business and your personal brand.
What you’ll learn
At the core, i’m setting myself a purpose to build you into the most complete content machine that you’ll ever be.
I’ll teach you everything you need to know, from connecting your thoughts to paper/document, finding out your content problems, getting people to read your content, and how to make money from it.
In fact, I’ll base my entire business around it.
Starting from the next post, you’ll learn everything that goes behind building this blog into a $100,000 business, and beyond, if we get there (in a matter of time).
It’s a tall order. Not something that I take very lightly.
In fact, I am already extremely drained from writing the Introduction to our Essential Data Backed Guide to Building A Content Marketing Machine in 2017 – something that I’m really excited to roll out in the coming weeks.
As of this moment, even before writing this post, I’ve already written over 50,000 words to set up the various moving parts of my own Content Marketing Machine.
Here’s a sneak peak:
Each of these folders have 5 chapters and up. Each chapter has over 3,000 words. Go figure.
Where my Journey Starts
My journey starts right now with SGD 3,000 in the bank, and a trusty computer I depend my life on.
Every Friday of the week, after this post is published, I will share every single detail of me using nothing but content marketing to prospect and find clients.
I will share what works and what sucks – so either way, you don’t lose. Will you follow me?
A little extra something
I’m not saying that Contentrific is in a position where we are better than other content sites, in fact, there are a ton of great resources that i’ve found really helpful as I was starting out myself.
You can check some of them out here:
I intend Contentrific to document our progress and processes that we use ourselves to get to $100,000.
After much thinking about how we can be different from the noise out there, we decided that using ourselves as real life examples is the best option that we have.
So what’s next?
If you think that my journey is full of sh**, sure, thank you for your time reading it all the same.
But, if you think that you would like to be a part of a content marketer/entrepreneur’s journey to $100,000 per month, then subscribe to this blog in the box down below, and I’ll keep you posted as soon as the next masterpiece comes live.
In case you are wondering if the updates that you will receive are all about me, they’re not.
Each blog post contains actionable steps and data backed research that will instantly add value to your business.
Once every month, however, I will write an update about my progress towards $100,000 using content marketing on my own business, so those posts will have more entrepreneurship/business focus.
See you on the inside, and welcome to Contentrific.
